Nice place to visit. Rooms were clean and staff was helpful. Lots to do here and in the nearby area. The golf course was close and had reasonable prices. $5 for all the golf balls you can hit (hot weather special). Free fishing in private lake. Would bring a bicycle next time to get around. Also bring charcoal for the grills outside.

I was attacked by a young deer that the managers warned me about as I checked in. It just came right up to me from behind and put its hooves on my shoulders! They should do something about him. The smell of urine was so bad in our unit that we asked to be moved. The next unit was fine but annoying that the air con was loud, and the bathroom is in the bedroom with no wall. The staff was very nice though. It is more of a motel 6 than a resort.

Of the old silver leaf resorts this was the smallest. There’s not as many things to do and things open late and close early, nearest city of note is 45 minutes away. But it’s peaceful and quiet, no hooligans starting a fight like at The Villages. My wife and I, along with our toddler had a great time

This is a pretty old location. In fact, I believe it may have been the first Silverleaf timeshare resort. The buildings show their age, but everything works; it's clean; and they are slowly replacing things like furniture and carpeting. The beds are older but are dressed with Holiday Inn bedding so you sleep very well. With all the amenities, it's a family paradise. I'm an older woman that just wanted some quiet time to work online and commune with nature on my off time. They met my needs spectacularly.

Had a great time staying here while visiting family. Room was very convenient and full of amenities. The lady who helped us check in was absolutely incredible. Would highly recommend

Very efficient seamless check-in. Staff well advised us on directions to unit and weekly activities. The room was seriously outdated and uncomfortable. TVs and toilets broke down the first day. Toilet broke because, again was outdated living on its last legs. We had a two bedroom unit there was only one shower. The other bathroom had a huge jucuzzi tub from more frivolous honeymoon times. It must use 500 gals of water to fill up. The kitchen had all the popular appliances and utensils, but it looked like it was from the 60's. Insufficient towels for a week stay for our family of 2 adults and 3 girls. Pool was an easy walk away. It was clean and fun, but no towels were available. The units were located in a beautiful portion of texas. Green abound and cooler than south or west texas.

We have been exploring the various properties of HIVC and this is one we will not bother returning to. First off, it's in the middle of nowhere and after a long harrowing night drive it's very close to getting lost in a wilderness. Next, the front desk were friendly but they placed us in the most corner, hidden, remotest part of the property. We were too tired, having arrived late to go back and argue. The next few days showed us how remote our villa is as there were only 2 other occupied villas out of about 20 or so, we past by going in and out of the gates. The pool was closed, walking restricted due to private residences, no nearby attractions and hardly any activities were available for guests, except sleep and wake up. We took short walks but it was like walking in a circle. This property taught me to further inspect property locations before booking. A truly great disappointment to have gone here. Wasted vacation days.
